I’ve just used Devon County Council’s online reporting form to notify them of a pothole on Oak Road.
To be fair there are many potholes in the cul-de-sac that makes up part of Oak Road…
…but there’s one that DCC classifies as a safety defect and in need of repair
Its more than 40mm deep (my golf ball is 40mm in diameter!) and more than 44cm in length.
DCC’s pothole home page states:
We aim to repair large potholes on major roads, well-used pavements and cycle ways within one working day. Potholes on minor roads are targeted for repair within 7 working days.
The website gives a reference W15763309 which allows me to track progress – currently it says “Estimated Completion date is 11 Feb 2015″
Let’s see how accurate that prediction is, shall we?
