Exeter City Council has made a submission to the Excellence in Community Engagement category of The MJ Achievement Awards

Excellence in Community Engagement

This award recognises excellence in community engagement by a Council or a Council department. Submission for this award should clearly demonstrate that the Council or department has engaged with residents and the local community to improve customer services to the highest level. The judges are looking for evidence of initiatives which have actively encouraged participation from the local community, from beginning to end, and are providing sustainable, long-term benefits for the wider community.

Award criteria

The winning nominations must demonstrate the following;
Partnership working with local residents and external groups, target groups, how partnership working and engagement was achieved and the level of involvement across all parties
How the initiative has benefited a wide range of stakeholders
Sustainability and longevity
How the scheme has improved customer service
A best value model that can/or has been replicated elsewhere
The funding mechanism – highlighting innovative funding channels
